MY BI-WEEKLY PARTY FOLLOWERS.
OMG!!! No wonder there were so many questions and people wondering where I was...I wrote this newsletter over 3 months ago in JUNE and IT NEVER WENT OUT IT WAS STUCK IN DRAFT MODE , so here it is better late than never! For those left in the dark this may help.
I don't come to you guys with serious issues very often but when I do I seriously believe in what I say. In this case in comes in the form of a warning. You all saw how I was all excited about a new venue that seemed perfect. But after spending several weeks around the owner, working with him, talking to him and even partying with him.
To say the least I got to know this guy and now that I have, I am backing off of this man and anything to do with Villa Kumar. This man does not have the right attitude or experience to run a lifestyle venue. He has flat out openly stated that he is only in this to have sex. And I assure you drugs are very much so a part of this man's life. I smoke and anyone who knows me knows I do (I am a licensed smoker). Party favors I could take or leave, don't need em. Especially not at every gathering nor will you hear me say to anyone, that they either do them or they can't stay. This man is oblivious to how his actions could affect others.
In hearing his proposed plans for his house from what I observed it is nothing short of prostitution. This man is a disaster waiting to happen so I am outta there in a hurry. I am not sticking around for the train wreck. This man is a ME TOO MOVEMENT in the making! I can't warn you seriously enough to STAY AWAY!
This is the bottom line, for over 10 years my job, my mission, with Bi-Weekly is to find acceptable and safe venues where we can host parties all around the DC area. PLaces that are reasonably close, safe, easily accessible, have parking and amenities we would like. I have indeed pulled out of at least 3 venues in the past due to poor business practices, illegal activities and unacceptable conditions.

I've decided when it boils down to it, how much is this worth worrying about for me? I've been at this for a very long time, I have dealt with all kinds of people. Just like sex everyone is into something different. Not everyone lives by the same moral , ethical or business compass. Vick is Vick and his personal and business experiences in life make him the person he is no different than my particular personal and business experiences make me me. To say we have a personality conflict is evident. Our compasses just happen to point in different directions
Bottom line, I am a Social group party host, and as a party locator I find nice places where my group can meet and play. I run my group and resented Vick for trying to insert himself into my group as a organizer etc. or having any say so in it.
Then Vick owns his house, Villa Kumar, how he wants to run it is his choice. I have nothing to do with his operation. He had a lot of questions and I tried to offer advice where I could to help. It's his final decision. And it's some of those decisions I was having a serious problem with.
We all know there are 2 sides to every story and in things like this the outside view and the behind the scenes view. I lived the behind the scene view, something you guys will never see. And it's shaky, very shaky and again, I have been at this too long to put up with it.. I don't want to be in some debate or discussion on he said, she said or who did what to who. It's gossipy bullshit most people don't give a damn about. They just want a place to play. So since I am the one who picks the places where my group plays. I saw enough and experienced enough to know this is a place that I do not want to do any future business with and will discourage my group from any participation in Villa Kumar.
I have been in business a very long time and I recognize certain warning signs that tell me to drop this place fast. So given the opportunity to walk away I gladly do so.
In reality this may have been a huge house but when you look at the limited space we actually had to play, we've had bigger spaces in a few other venues.
I see things seriously wrong, if what I have witnessed, have seen and hear are true. I won't have to get into some bashing war. I feel confident the truth will come out. I now fully understand the "me too" movement. If I am right...and you want to share your experiences and I encourage you to do so. Do use the group page on fetlife and go read the growing # of warnings to YOU. To let this group know what you think they should know.
Me, I have been at this too long and dealt with too many people to really be shocked. I just say let the buyer beware. Keep your eyes open. I just won't give him MY business and encourage you not too.
Let the consumer speak.... here's your chance .
Now that 3 months went by I hope you all know that this man shut down Villa Kumar and let's hope he never opens up a place again. You all came through and wrote enough negative feedback on the bi-weekly Fetlife page and other places he got the message and stopped. Thank God. Be careful. He is still out there thinking he was God's gift to the party scene. Clueless to what a total asshole and predator he IS.
